• How old does my son need to be to enroll with Drivers 2B?

-By law a student can enroll as early as age 14 1/2.

  • When and where are classroom sessions held?

-Class sessions run three consecutive weeks Monday through Friday from 6 - 8 p.m.   Select summer sessions

are held from 8 - 10 a.m.  Classes are held at the Waupaca High School.  Additional March, June and November

classes are held at the Amherst High School.  Classroom Sessions Page

  • What happens if my daughter misses one or more classes?

-She would need to attend the same class night(s) at a future session prior to taking her DMV Road Test.

The Road Test cannot be taken without certification from Drivers 2B that both the Classroom/Online and

             Behind-The-Wheel portions have been completed.

  • Is there any homework?

-No.  All work is done in class with the aid of lectures, guest speakers, and media presentations.

Students will have three tests during the session which will demonstrate knowledge of materials and

             concepts covered in class.

  • Can or should my son get his Temps before enrolling in Drivers 2B?

-No.  Students under age 18 are not eligible to get their temps until they are both

enrolled in a driving school's class/online session AND be at least 15 years old.

  • If my daughter is already 16, can she finish her Behind-The-Wheel drives and take her Road Test in less than six months?

-The state requires her to hold her Learner's Permit for a minimum of six months from date of issue (regardless of

birthdate).  At Drivers 2B we feel it is in the best interest of the student to spread out the six drives over the

time period to allow for practicing of the various required maneuvers and general road time necessary for driving

improvement.  The State of Wisconsin additionally requires a minimum of 39 hours of driving time outside of the time

spent with a licensed instructor.  That means 39+ hours with parents...

  • How are the Behind-The-Wheel driving appointments scheduled?

-Appointments are scheduled with your assigned instructor. The law requires six hours of driving and six hours of

observation.  We schedule in two-hour blocks so that there are only six appointments needed

to fulfill the State's requirements.  During the school year, drives are scheduled after school and on weekends.

During the summer, lessons can also be scheduled weekday mornings and afternoons.
